So this past week we've reached a major milestone...no more diapers! Alice started potty training last Tuesday. I had no plan at all. It took one last time of her looking me in the eye saying "I'm pooping" (lol) for me to just toss that diaper and put panties on. Since before she turned two she really has had a lot of dry diapers and would go potty if I took her. She also started telling me if she had to go. So I knew she was ready but I didn't want to start too early. But at this point she was more than ready!
I had no plan really. It just happened to be a rainy day, I had dinner in the crock pot, and no plans for the day. I looked down at the 1/2 empty pack of pull ups and thought, "I'm not buying anymore of these!", so I just put some panties on her (which I'd bought some Rapunzel ones and training ones about a month ago) and threw caution to the wind! Haha :)
The first day was amazing! She didn't have any accidents at all (even at nap time) until right before bed when her daddy was tickling her and making her laugh so hard she had a little accident haha! But, then she slept through the night in panties (when I said no more diapers, i meant it! haha) and woke up dry! In fact, she's only had two bed-wetting accidents (including bed time and nap time) since last Tuesday! As for other accidents, those have happened but not nearly as much as I anticipated.
The second day was the absolute worse. She had tons of accidents throughout the day, but after that day she's done so well. We have even been able to take her places. I'm just so proud of her! And it's much easier not having to bring along a bunch of diapers and wipes everywhere we go. Of course we do have extra panties and clothes, but it's not like you have to use them every time. Actually we haven't had to use any yet! (Now that I say that we will probably use some next time we go out lol)
Anyway, that's my "proud mommy moment"! I'm just so proud of how well she is doing and super excited to not have to buy diapers for her anymore!! :D
